Tim Nichols was a Boston painter who began his career as a practicing Ivy League corporate lawyer. His work was informed by abstract expressionism, but he didn’t seek out its purely energetic objective. Later, he would become a prominent teacher at the Boston Museum School where he made a significant impact on many students.
