May Austin Claus (born 1882, Berlin, New York) was an American painter and miniaturist. She studied at the Boston Museum School and maintained studios in Provincetown and Boston. Claus exhibited at the Boston Art Club, Art Institute of Chicago, Salons of America, Society of Independent Artists, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Miniature Painters. She married William Anton Joseph Claus, but her date of death is unknown, and she may have remarried after his passing in 1926.
