Leon Louis Dolice (1892–1960) was an Austrian-born American artist best known for his etchings, pastels, and paintings depicting New York City. Born in Vienna, Dolice studied art in Europe before immigrating to the United States in 1920 and settling in Greenwich Village, where the city's streets and architecture became the central subjects of his work. He became particularly recognized for his copperplate etchings documenting Manhattan's neighborhoods, landmarks, elevated railways, and waterfront during a period of rapid change. Dolice also worked in painting, pastel, linocut, and other media, and his work is held in collections including the National Gallery of Art and the New-York Historical Society.
