Clarence Scott White (1872–1965) was an American painter known for landscapes and coastal views, with a particularly strong connection to the Maine coast. From 1919 to 1929, he spent part of each summer on Islesford, Maine, where he exhibited with Harold Broadfield Warren and Charles Edwin Kinkead as the “Three Islesford Painters.” In 1930, White began holding annual exhibitions at the Asticou Inn in Northeast Harbor. His work includes landscapes and coastal scenes of Maine, including views associated with the Mount Desert Island region.
